The stud debut...

Here is what I wore for a few drinks with some friends the other night. I used the event to debut my lovely studded pumps from the boyfriend. My outfit is actually pretty plain and simple but after a long day at work I just wanted to wear something comfy.

Jeans - Topshop

To be honest I think the studded pumps give the outfit a bit of edge and they make a simple outfit so much better.
I wore them for a good few hours and they are honestly the comfiest shoes. I have quite wide feet and find some pumps really narrow and painful to wear for long periods of time but these were a dream. I would love to get a nude pair. My next quest is a studded bag... preferably the Alexander Wang number here, dream!

Wrangler Australia Ad Campaign Spring 2013

Here is the new ad campaign for Wrangler Australia Spring 2013. Its shot by Jason Lee Parry and features model Emily Jean Bester alongside Vinnie Woolston. I love the carefree summer love feeling in the shots. Really gorgeous.

It would be unfair for a couple to be this good looking.

I love the edgy yet simplistic vibe within this shoot. Really want to get myself a pair of Wrangler jeans now.

Summer fun...

So originally i was going to do my first make up blog but i quite liked my outfit and hair today too. so heres a little look at what I wore and I will follow with the beauty products and makeup that i use maybe tomorrow.

I also have a hate of naked toe nails. So my latest shade is this deep purple from No7 at Boots. They always do these £5 off vouchers and i tend to stock up as they last forever.
My truly battered but favourite summer sandals, purely for comfort. They are really old and from Forever 21 before it made it across from the US.
I love the pattern on these jeans so much and they are so comfortable. River Island jeans fit my shape perfectly as well so its wins all round really.

And here is my make-up look for the day... I will write about this in my next blog :)

DIY dip-dyed denim shirt..

So I have attempted my first bleach dip dye. I had an old denim shirt that I never really wore and wanted to spruce it up a little bit. The images make it look far more green than it actually is and my aim was actually to make it white, but for a first attempt I'm really pleased.

I started off by just buying some really cheap Tesco Value bleach which was around 28p for two litres. I then marked on the top where I wanted the dip dye to start and to give me an indication of colour change. Then in a bucket I mixed a water and bleach solution. With the shirt on a hanger i submerged it into the bucket with a mixing stick and gloves and waited and then I waited some more and then waited a little bit more.

After about 5 hours of being in the bleach with no colour change I realised that the bleach mix was far too weak, I know its a long time to wait but I went out to bingo with my friends and just left it. I watered it down a lot to start with after reading lots of horror stories about clothes disintegrating etc however I think you would have to use the worlds strongest bleach for this to happen. Luckily my lovely mum had two stronger more expensive bottles of bleach which we threw into the bucket as well with just a tiny amount of water just to make it slightly more diluted. Eventually after waking in the night to take it out of the bleach, it worked!

Please excuse the no make-up look!
Although not perfect and not completely as expected, I really love my new shirt and am hoping to try a few more bleaching techniques like a bit of tie dye. If anyone has any other ideas or there own bleached clothes I would love to see some links.

inside out...

Just a quick post on an outfit I wore the other day because the sun was shining. My t-shirt was from Primark mens section in small. I haven't decided on what to do with it yet and whether to cut it up and do a bit of DIY. For now I have just turned the sleeves up because the print is really bright on the inside  of the top. I love the print. I have tucked it into my Topshop denim hot pants because otherwise it is really long and i look naked.

Topshop - Denim Shorts
Iv pinned my hair into a top bun, Im getting slightly obsessed with the bigger the bun the better which is killing my hair with backcombing.
T-Shirt - Primark Mens

Moccasins - River Island - £15 (sale)
I love these shoes because the tassels shake as I walk and I feel like Pocahontas.
Leather belt - ASOS
I teamed with them with my favourite moccasins and leather plaited belt.

Summer Trousers...

Urban Outfitters have started their summer sale. After a little browse online I decided not to risk buying trousers from the internet incase they didn't fit and then losing out on them. So I popped into town to have a little mooch around. Again this is another bad move because as soon as I see something reduced I think i need to have it whether I will wear it or not, whether it fits or not and sometimes even whether I really like it or not. The latter does not happen very often and usually it is over something that costs a pound.

However on this trip I fell in love with these BDG Pigment Dye Ankle Cigarette Jeans in what they class as red. My camera makes them look very orange but I would describe them as salmon pink. Reduced from £45 to £22 a really good buy. They have a nice amount of stretch to the material so you can sit down comfortably and at ankle length, they are very versatile. You can roll them up, tuck them into boots or wear them as they are with heels or flats. Unlike some other jeans on the high street they are made from a strong denim so there no chance of the belt loop holes coming loose or holes from general wear. Overall I am really happy with them and would buy them at full retail price.
I wore this outfit for a meal out
I teamed my new jeans with a brown leather belt from ASOS, I can't remember how much I bought it for and my slouchy see-through shirt from River Island which I previously blogged about.
Moccasin Flats - Urban Outfitters - Can't remember price
I wore flat shoes for my meal out as I preferred the slightly more casual look. These moccasin flats from UO are my absolute favourite shoes. They are comfortable and go with everything so to me they are priceless.

Bangles - various
Hair
I wore my hair in a really high up do. The bun is huge which I love. To achieve this I used a ballerina donut which i placed around a pony tail and then tucked the hair underneath all the way around. My hair tends to be quite shiny and sloppy which isn't good for putting my hair up so I have to set it with lots of hair spray, I then loosed it off a little so it doesn't look perfect.

P.s. Feel free to follow me if you like my blog and you will be kept up to date when I write a new post!
